Coach Henry grew up playing a variety of sports, but baseball quickly became his true passion. An All-Star at PNLL, he transitioned into travel ball and developed into a versatile defender, learning nearly every position on the field. He spent most of his early years at shortstop before moving to second base around age 14–15, adapting to the demands of size and arm strength. Even with those challenges, Coach Henry prided himself on elite defensive play and consistently made very few errors.
At Mount Carmel High School, he was widely regarded as one of the program’s top defensive infielders. Despite being undersized for most of his high school career, he posted the best tryout performance in the entire program as a senior—only to have the season canceled due to COVID. After briefly stepping away from the game, Coach Henry realized he couldn’t stay away from baseball. He trained relentlessly, treating development like a full-time job until he earned an opportunity to play at Mesa College.
During his first fall with the program, he suffered a shoulder dislocation while diving into second base, ultimately requiring surgery. Recovery, paired with the demands of studying Biotechnology at another school, brought his playing career to a close—but it opened the door for coaching.
Today, Coach Henry brings that same determination and love for the game to every athlete he works with. He specializes in defense, speed and strength development, baserunning, swing mechanics, power production, and mindset training, using his own journey of resilience and adaptability to help players grow on and off the field.
