CJ Broussard

Coach CJ began his baseball journey at Ramona High School before moving on to San Diego City College, where he made an immediate impact as a versatile two-way player. His strong freshman campaign earned him a scholarship to Cal State Los Angeles, where he continued to excel both on the mound and at the plate during his sophomore and junior seasons. In the summer of 2016, he further showcased his talent with the Palm Springs Power under the guidance of manager and professional scout Casey Dill.

As a junior, Coach CJ delivered a standout season—earning 1st Team All-Conference Utility Player, a spot on the CCAA All-Tournament Team, and All-American Honorable Mention recognition. His performance culminated in a major career milestone when he was selected by the Minnesota Twins in the 22nd Round of the 2017 MLB Draft as a right-handed pitcher.

Following injuries that shortened his playing career, Coach CJ transitioned seamlessly into coaching and player development. He embraced a role focused on helping athletes of all ages unlock their potential—on the field, in the weight room, and through intentional, injury-reducing training methods. This passion became the foundation for PowerFuel Athletics, his program dedicated to building strong, explosive, healthy baseball athletes.

Beyond player development, Coach CJ serves as a College Advisor with SportsForce, guiding high school players through the recruiting process, maximizing scholarship opportunities, and helping families identify the best academic and athletic fit. His dual experience as a former recruit and professional evaluator allows him to mentor athletes with clarity, honesty, and firsthand knowledge of the path ahead.
