Coach Bryce comes from a proud baseball family, carrying forward the legacy of his father, Rod Barajas, a 13-year Major League catcher and 2001 World Series Champion. Growing up in a professional baseball environment, Bryce developed a deep understanding of the game from an early age, gaining insight into the preparation, discipline, and mentality required to compete at a high level.
A standout catcher in his own playing career, Coach Bryce developed a reputation for leadership, strong baseball IQ, and a natural ability to manage pitching staffs. His experience behind the plate shaped his instructional approach—emphasizing clean mechanics, defensive fundamentals, receiving and blocking technique, and the all-important mental side of catching. Bryce has also played alongside and trained with his baseball-driven family, including his brothers who went on to compete at the collegiate level, further enriching his own development and perspective.
Now dedicated to coaching, Coach Bryce brings a calm, relatable presence to the field and thrives in one-on-one environments where he can help young catchers grow in confidence and ability. He focuses on teaching athletes how to think the game, not just play it—passing down knowledge learned from his father’s MLB career as well as his own experiences coming up through competitive baseball.
Above all, Coach Bryce is committed to helping young players build strong fundamentals, sharpen their baseball instincts, and develop the mindset needed to succeed at the next level.
